Getting To Table House
If you have access to a helicopter, there’s a landing space in the paddock right in front of the house.
Otherwise, by Plane or Boat
Burnie/Wynyard airport is 5 minutes away from Table House Farm. Qantas and Rex Airlines fly there daily from Melbourne’s Tullamarine airport (with interstate and international connections).
Launceston Airport is a 2-hour drive away. Qantas, Jetstar and Virgin Airlines all have direct flights from Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
Devonport Airport is a 1-hour drive away. Qantas and Rex both fly into here.
The Spirit of Tasmania car and passenger ferry sails from Geelong to Devonport with daily daytime and overnight sailings
Hobart is a manageable four and half hour drive away on excellent roads.
Driving Directions to Table House
Coming out of Wynyard, via Saunders St, you'll cross a bridge on to Table Cape Rd. Go all the way to the top of the hill then turn right as Table Cape Rd turns right. Tollymore Rd is next left. About 700m down Tollymore Road, look out for the TABLE HOUSE sign on the stockyard fence, as the laneway on the right into our property is slightly concealed.
Along the way
Coming from Launceston, there are some good stops along the way to break up the driving:-
Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm, their chocolate covered raspberries are divine!
Van Diemen’s Land Creamery, opposite the Raspberry Farm has the most delicious icecream.
If you are driving from or through Devonport, you might want to stop in at
Dasher + Fisher for a bottle of local gin or,
Hill Street Grocer (on Oldaker St) for excellent fresh produce and cheese.
The Table House kitchen is stocked with all the essentials, pretty much like your kitchen at home would be – coffee (including coffee pods), tea, sugar, flour, oil, vinegar, herbs & spices, kitchen wraps, foil and baking paper.]
If flying into Burnie Airport, Wynyard has a Woolworths, two good butchers, an IGA and two bottle shops to stock up, although it’s only 5 minutes down the road if you have forgotten anything.
Wynyard is also home to some cafes (Bruces, Cafe Umami, The Vault and some cute little shops you might like to peruse - we love the Lemon Tree Providore.
